If you got a \windows\systems32\drivers\volsnap.sys error after Windows Update reboot or incomplete update by an unexpected shutdown you must:

• Boot from OS DVD install disk or you could boot from USB Windows Download Tool Flash Memory of Windows 2008 ISO file  (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool)
• After making sure the language options are correct, clic Next
• Select Repair option
• Select Open command prompt
• Browse to Recovery Directory recovery (cd\sources\recovery) on the boot disk
• StartRep.exe

 That should do a basic repair to the OS.
