Requirements Vmware Player Free on CENTOS 7, missing network card (nic) and vmware tools not required

Source:
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/9667/path-to-kernel-header/

After installing manually the VMWare player Free for Linux for free personal use
https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/12_0

On X-Windows mode you got the two next error messages when for the first time you open VMWare Player Icon

"Path to gcc"
"path to kernel-header"

You must update the server, and install the next packages

yum update
yum install gcc
yum install kernel-headers
yum install kernel-devel
reboot

Open VMWare Player again and voila

You don't need to install VMWare tools.  There are included and updated with OS

If you didn't see you NIC (Network Interface Card o Network Card) after Copying, Moving or Cloning like VMWare Converter.

You can add a new nic to the virtual machine, assign Bridged NAT or Host Only and remove the original created.  You need to copy the old ip address to the new NIC added

Greetings
 B.
